Lead React Native Developer

What will you do?

As Lead React Native Developer at Alfen, you will lead the development of high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android. You will manage a team of talented mobile developers and collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver apps that integrate seamlessly with our smart energy solutions.

You will define the app architecture, guide technical decisions, and safeguard code quality. You will mentor junior developers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. Thanks to your expertise, our mobile apps, for the charging stations, remain stable, high-performing, and future-proof.

Your key responsibilities:

• Leading and mentoring the mobile development team.

• Designing scalable and maintainable mobile app architectures.

• Reviewing code and enforcing best practices for quality and performance.

• Integrating APIs, native modules, and third-party libraries (e.g. push notifications, geolocation, payments).

• Monitoring and optimizing app performance.

• Coordinating releases to the App Store and Google Play.

• Staying up to date with the latest trends in mobile development and the React Native ecosystem.

What do we ask of you?

You are an experienced mobile developer with natural leadership qualities. You work in a structured way, take ownership of results, and have a sharp eye for performance, usability, and scalability. You are a strong communicator who easily connects development, design, and product teams.

You also bring:

• At least 5 years of experience in mobile development, with a strong focus on React Native.

• At least 3 years of experience leading or mentoring development teams.

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript, and experience with frameworks such as Redux, Redux-Saga, React Navigation, and Zustand.

• Experience working with native modules and bridging React Native to iOS and Android functionalities.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI), Git, and automated testing (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Detox).

• A solid background in app performance optimization and publishing to the App Store and Google Play.

• Knowledge of UX principles and experience working closely with design and product teams.
